Security breach at Priyanka home: Probe ordered

NEW DELHI: The government has ordered a high-level inquiry into the security breach of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and has suspended 3 personnel for the incident.
This was announced in Rajya Sabha by Union home minister Amit Shah during the debate on the SPG(Amendment) Bill.
There was a security breach at Priyanka’s Lodhi Estate home last week when some people had driven up to her residence without any security check.
Priyanka’s office had taken up the matter with the CRPF.
The Congress leader’s husband Robert Vadra described as a “very big” security lapse the incident of unidentified people driving up to the porch of their home last week, and alleged that the removal of the Gandhi family’s SPG cover was a “political” move.
The Congress has attacked the government alleging that the incident showed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had put the lives of its leaders at risk.
