Planning e-concerts, teaching grandma to Insta

Music has always made me happy. That’s why I chose to be an artiste and entertainment manager. A usual day for me starts with planning meetings with clients, pitching ideas for events and brainstorming new ideas for IPs (intellectual properties).

The lockdown has come as a big jolt. Though it is meant for our safety, it has affected all businesses in a very big way and has caused everyone a lot of stress. I started thinking of ways to spread joy and positivity through this phase, and what can be better than music to bring a smile to people’s faces?

That’s when my colleague Mourjo in Mumbai I came up with the concept of a digital concert, which we have decided to name “Safe and Sound”. We managed to pull off an eight-hour concert with 30+ Bollywood artistes.

It’s a great feeling to see people smiling through this extremely tough situation. And while I work from home and stay around my family, I’m also trying to teach my grandmother Instagram and Facebook so that she can watch videos and keep herself entertained.
