When disappointment knocks, hope should open the door. The moments when diversities loom large, the first casualty usually is a person’s ability to think right and stay inspired. This is a grave concern because all that it takes to be happy and prosperous is an ounce of motivation, germinated from within. When people do not think positive, they spread unhappy vibes into society.
Yesterday, I saw a few posts on social media, which were highly disturbing. Someone wrote a blog on the man who committed suicide while going through the phase of isolation, some others sketched absolutely depressing stories of their life. I strongly condemn all such negativity pouring content. Thanks to lockdown, a vast majority of common men are continuously glued to news channels and social media. Many of them have already engaged themselves with horrifying figures related to the likely tsunami of the infectious spread of the pandemic, or to the impending slowdown which may make millions jobless etc.
Under such strenuous circumstances, the human battery of hope, joy and aspiration discharges very fast. When I advocated the power of plaintiff positivity, a few accused me of ignoring the statistical reality across the globe. It’s time for each one of us to wipe out the stains of confusion and fear. I appreciate people’s concern about future but worrying alone can never offer a solution to any kind of a challenge. One needs to act in the right direction.
I strongly advocate people to bring out the following three traits in their personality: Change, Creativity and Hope. These shall only be the survival toolkit in the times to come. Tough times never stay for long, it is only the flexibles ones who survive.
Things will never be the same again. The current situations will compel the logistics of survival to evolve into unique, new and unknown attributes. It shall be wise for us human beings to accept reality. The way one has been surviving till date has to change. There may be a new routine, unique social norms, different work modalities, beyond imagination healing methodologies, the concept of relationship may get evolved, food habits may become skewed etc. We must be prepared to align with everything unforeseen. To be able to see a smooth transition into the new era of life on earth, we have to be ready, not just to accept change but also to proactively introduce it in our way of life.
The idea is to move ahead and avoid getting stuck. It’s time to think crazy and big. What if internet services get disrupted tomorrow? What if farmers are not able to produce food? What could then be the new avatar of communication and livelihood? Since various dimensions of life are liable to unprecedented change, the key remedy for survival is “innovation and creativity”. This has already happened. Many organisations which never could even imagine work from home have developed techniques to do so. Many social and business meetings are already happening through technology. As a trainer, I have started conducting training online. Today is an opportunity for us human beings to experiment with our ability to think beyond the routine.
Enough of living with convergence, its time now to think divergent and be ready to accept new dimensions. It is only the power of human thoughts that will enable the bailout of current imbroglio.
Yes, I consider ‘hope’ as a powerful tool for survival. Life exists until hope is alive. There is no point in surviving as a hopeless animal! Despite the vagaries of the calamity which has struck the world, birds do chirp and flowers do see the fruition. Hope has to be an essential and mandatory necessity for life. People lose hope when the farthest extrapolation or manipulation of their thoughts does not offer a palatable solution to the current situation. Great future is assured only for those who can hold the flag of their hope high in the sky.
Friends, I am sure the current situations will ease out soon. The threat in the air will subside, and a new sun is bound to rise high on the sky. Do keep yourselves loaded with the dose of self-belief and hope.
I strongly recommend that we not just maintain social distancing, but also keep a delicate balance in our time allocation to media vs ‘living life’! When you throw a stone in the pond, the ripples disturb the water all around. Likewise, when you launch a negative thought in this universe, it creates mental turbulence for many people in the reach of your frequency. Why not be positive and spread hope in our society instead?
